Well I havnt tried to run this prototype on vista, but apparently you don't have the directX9 files.
I don't know how directX10 is supposed to run directX9 games, so I don't know why it wouldnt run it.
You might try to install directX9 if that is possible.
Beside that, I am not familiar with DirectX10 and vista, so it will be difficult for me to solve this problem.

Ok, the dll he specifies is a DirectX9 file, and this error message should apprear only when the directX9 version is not updated enough. It should be directX9 of no earlier then feburary 2006.
