I agree. Lugaru is more about being the underdog and winning fights rather than building up your skills to become a unstoppable fighting machine. It's more about getting better at playing the game rather than building up your character.Ultimatum479 wrote:That's already been discussed in at least two other threads about Lugaru ideas.
Anyway, what the hell's the _point_ of that?
Of course, if rumors are true, you might get some of this statistical character development in Lugaru 2.
In GTA 3 if you sprint around alot, your stamina increases and you can run for a longer amount of time. This doesn't mean that the first thing you do in GTA 3 is run around the block as many times as you can or that by increasing your stamina all of the sudden the game gets really easy. It's just a little thing that you notice while you're playing and I thought it was pretty cool.
In Lugaru 2 it doesn't have to be something huge that you need to have, it can be fun things like increasing the height you can jump down before getting hurt or being able to find people more often on the world map when you explore it a lot or getting people to like you faster in bars when you talk to them.

Turner is just a normal guy, he knows all the moves, but essentially every other enemy he fights knows those moves as well...
I wasn't really talking about increasing combat ability in that post, but there's really nothing in the story to stop Turner from getting any better. As far as the player knows, the only thing separating Turner from every other rabbit is courage and heart, he hasn't taken any special training at a dojo that sets him apart in combat. Everything he knows is from practicing by himself and his imagination, there's a lot of room for improvement as far as the story goes.

Normally, I wouldn't say it like this.
But my god is your grammar rubbish. I'm sorry, it really bothers me.
Anyway, I say that you should get slowly stronger and also slowly weaker, like you start off as a little skinny rabbit that turner is, and depending on how you play you change. Like if you are a bit greedy when it comes to the digestion system, you slowly get fatter and fatter, which slows you down slightly, enough to notice, but not enough to change the way you play entirely.

One line answer: Damnit people, Lugaru =/= Fable.
Alternate one line answer: As I said before, wtf is the _point_ of all this? Details are good, and details are fun, but some details are just too uselessly detailed to be good or fun, and it ain't worth delaying Lugaru 2 for another year for those kinds of details.
As for Turner being a "normal guy", no. There's a reason Skipper lures him away from the village during the raider attacks and warns the raiders that he's an uber warrior bunny: he _is_.

Ehh.. no you can't do that in fable.
Pretty much any enemy in Lugaru can kill you, you have the same stats and you use the same moves. Skipper lures you away because that's the only way to make the story continue. You think the story could go on even if you win or lose that first fight? No you just can't be involved, it's that simple.

I know, but the basic concept of events changing your character seems to be the inspiration for many of these "ideas".
As for the dialogue to which I'm referring:

To answer both your posts...Cypress wrote:Too bad he wasn't there to see it; I'd love to see the look on his face.
