Lugaru Debug Is Messing Up

Post by Thembridge » Tue Jan 27, 2009 2:04 pm

Okay, so I turned debug on, and that was fine. Additionally, I ran a few of the codes (which I got from the Wiki) and that was NOT fine. Only a few work, namely wolfieisgod and funnybunny... the rest either don't work at all OR if they relate to the model itself, they make it invisible. WHAT'S GOING ON HERE? :(

Can you be more specific?

Yes, I can indeed. I did some... research of sorts. Some of the codes work, for example F for fire, H for Health, B for slow-mo, and... V for freeze I think. Additionally, funnybunny and wolfieisgod work. Also, apparently X lets you change what weapon you have. But I digress; the codes don't appear to work at all but enter fine are the ones for power, armor, protection, strength. The codes that mess up are size, and proportion. By mess up I mean, make my character disappear. I'm somewhat convinced that size (1) makes my character impossibly small, as the only thing noticeable is the character's knife, which is normal size. Proportion itself just makes my character disappear. I can still move fine, and enemies notice me, but he's just gone. Doesn't work as advertised, anyway.

Try entering floating point values, for example 1.0 instead of 1

I'll see if that helps. I think that may be issue actually. So, thanks for all the advice if it worked, and if it doesn't, I'll keep looking.

Okay, so I tried size (2.0) Same problem. Turner disappeared, his shadow was there, his dust trail from movement, he could jump fine, but he was apparently very very small or he just wasn't really there. Can't decide which... :?:

aren't there multiple values to be entered for Size and Proportion? i know that Proportion has 4...

Not for size I don't think. Proportion is size for each individual segment of the model. The first value being the head, the second the body, and the last two the arms and legs, respectively.

Still not really working. So as I can define it, all the codes that involve entering a floating point don't work. And the ones that deal with any changes to the model cause it to disappear or shrink to a negligible point. So, any thoughts?

How are you using the proportions command?

AFAIK It's supposed to be used like:
proportions 1 1 1 1
With 4 digits seperated by spaces.

Maybe you're only using one digit? Or shouldn't that do anything in the first place?

He said size. Try just changing size to 1 or 1.0. If that doesn't work then I have no idea what is going on.

Okay, problem solved. Apparently brackets are a no-go. As soon as I dumped the brackets it started working fine. Thank you all for your help.
