hey thanks ragdollmaster, will download it once I'm on my own computer. I think I've mainly used emuparadise to get my lost gba games in the past. (metroid zero mission being one of them)

Armageddon Empires.
Quite possibly the best turn-based strategy game I've ever encountered.
Amateur GUI, but excellent everything else. Anyone else here play it?

I've also been playing some Marathon.
Some folks brought it up in the games-with-good-writing thread and suddenly I developed a hankering for old-school aliens and rampant AIs.

Currently playing these days:
The Club (got it today and it fun!)
WoW (why are you looking at me like that?)
Mirror's Edge (crushing bones guaranted)
Team Fortress 2 (fear the Spy crab!)

The Club for pc is my first try with the "famous" Games For Windows Live thingy.

Haha no problem, I hate not being able to find old games again. Which is better, Saga Frontier or Saga Frontier 2?

You mean Metal Gear Solid or Metal Gear?

I tried the demo for that on the XBox 360 and it seemed absolutely awful.

That's understandable. I wanted something somewhat challenging because i'm bored these days, but I liked it.

Well, the pc version looks better graphically (was that a pc port, because I rarely saw good ones graphically), but had a problem of missing product key and a update problem with Games for Windows Live (but a lot of people think it's the game, which is not), but it wasn't a big problem for me because I contacted the support and I got the product key pretty fast and for GfW, I was patient (it took around 5-10 minutes before I get the update working), which a lot rage quitted because of that.

Ren: The style of the games is totally different. I personally prefer SaGa Frontier 2, but the original is great fun. It dishes out 7 individual quests (still only beat a few), so it takes longer to beat. The dueling system isn't in there, so the only way to learn sword techniques (and yes, the only melee weapons are swords o;) is either randomly in battle or by learning similar sword techniques to learn higher ones. Anyways, the variety is overall better. Side quests abound from getting drunk to fighting a giant phoenix for a rune stone. The total cast of recruit-able characters also extends to like fifty or so, with different species, like Human, Mystic, Mec, or Monster. Humans level up normally; Mystics are like humans but can get stronger by absorbing monsters into their weapons and gear; Mecs can only get stronger based on their equipment; Monsters absorb abilities of other monsters to get higher level forms. The magic is a little different as well. There are eight classes, I believe; Light, Shadow, Mind, Evil, Realm, Mystic, Time, and Space. They each have their own opposite classes (Light v Shadow, Time v Space, etc), so if you learn one class, you can't learn its opposite. Unless you're playing as a main character called Blue who's a kick-ass magician. Besides the basic techniques for magic, if you do side quests for each class and get the 'gift', you can learn higher level spells.

I had a hankering for old games so I pulled out Descent 2 and found an OS X compatible app for it:

I'd forgotten how much fun flying around in mines blasting the crap out of robots was.

Ren: I did mean metal gear solid, simply forgot the solid part but considering we were talking about it and I did say ISO as opposed to ROM I thought it clear enough that I wouldn't have to edit it.
