Whats your work-out program ? :D
Hey
for those of you who loves exercise i just thought i would make a thread on here where it is possible to share your work out data and what you do to get "Pumped" or well just for the less extreme "in shape". So heres what i like to do,its very basic and classic and most people might start out like this (this can be done whit regulare things from your home and its very helpfull if you dont like going out to waste money on round steel plates on an iron bar whit a rubber grip). So i do up to 50-60 push ups then i take a break to stretch and get some water, then i like doing a 120 situps or maybe about 10 more if its a good day and im not feeling tired ^^ i like taking a 10 minutes break after that. Then i do 50 squad's(Like you know, bending your knee's til theres a small gab from your ankle's to your butt) then i work out my arms in a few different basic ways using a 2 liter bottle filled whit sand (You can go buy those fancy coke 2L bottles if you like. Take note:Its probably way more comfortable to use water in the start and i suggest you get some griptape and rap it around where you wanna hold) I take a 120 on each arm like that, then i spend 2-3 mins stretching again(remember its important you drink while working out but dont do it too fast because its is easy to black out if you consume water too fast). When im done i do some work out on my calves using my ankles. I take my feet and i place my heels close too each other then i make a space of 5-6 cm between the front of my feet and i start doing some small push ups lifting my heels off the floor and i do that about 60 times then i take a break and im off to take a shower. Cheers for the good health of your body's and for exercise (Thanks to lotus wolf too even if he might not remember but he actualy kinda got me started on this and then ive developed some techniques on my own) Please do post your ways of working out here

Re: Whats your work-out program ? :D
I used to bench press/squat/run alot ... but i stopped after i got out of high school ... I think my max was 215lbs for bench ... that isn't too bad considering i also weighed 160-170lbs at the time ...
Looking back I totally missed the boat ... I sucked at all the sports I tried because i just was genetically inefficient at absorbing O2 ... I had to run miles a day just to get to par with other people ... and all that long distance running totally screwed over my capabilities at short distance speed ...
But for some reason I realized toward the end of my senior year that I could build muscle pretty damn fast ... (i was jumping up about 5lbs a week on bench for about 2 months a few weeks after i started) ... i kinda wish i tried competing at power lifting competitions

Which martial art are you learning?blood-shard wrote:Lol ya >.> stupid mei could go over breathing and martial arts all day but most of you probably wouldent care so ill spare you this time >:3 xD back on topic please.
I'm doing almost nothing ATM. I started Aikido last year so I'd have something sporty to do twice per week, but this year it overlaps with my painting class and only going once per week sucks... So I just walk to school, and do some tai chi. If I lived a little farther from the school that might work okay, but 20 minutes is a bit too short. Better than nothing, though... Perhaps if I didn't stay up to 2AM to write these replies, I'd feel like doing something in the afternoons.

There aint much else too itDenmark aint realy much of a martial artist filled land. We have one good guy maybe called peterlee (bruce lee adicted freak and life long friend of my mom xD) but i dont wanna start whit him. He's realy good an all but he's telling too many lies about him graduating in japan and stuff like that. Truth too be told he jumped right from blue belt to black 3rd dan. He's a good fighter and all but he doesent know how to honor in anyway. If you wanna look him up links here for ya http://www.xs4all.nl/~mroering/truthaboutpeterlee/
Actually, I use the Wii Fit Plus for all my exercises... and not just the balance games, I do some Strength Training too. The plank and push-ups actually are hard, so don't ridicule me...
Re: Whats your work-out program ? :D
I only get to work out on my own on the weekends = Friday. HS=no time.
I usually stretch and do a few warm-ups for about 10 minutes. Then I run for, depending on my mood, angry=longer, 1:30-2 hours. Then when I get back, I do 40 pushups (I've just started doing this) and at least 70 crunches. Then I do as many pullups as I can. After that is walking a little to cool off, and a stretch. On some days instead of running, I do sprints. Sprints are fun.

Re: Whats your work-out program ? :D
3 sets of forty sit ups positioned on the edge of a surface (I just use my bed) with your legs sticking straight out in front of you in the resting position lifting to a ninety degree angle in time with your torso, balancing the two so that you are only on a small portion of your body which is at very edge of the bed with your nose 3 inches from your knees in the upright position. it is important to keep your arms bent with your hands hovering also about 3 inches from your ears and your arms in line with each other so that they would form a straight line if your head weren't there. besides that about 15 minutes of shadow boxing a day holding eight pound weights in each hand, 5 sets of 15 burpees (an act in which you go to a crouch, then a pushup position, do a pushup and then back to the crouch and from there jump and repeat (though I've only recently started doing these)) I also curl 16 pound dumbbells for each arm as a warm up, find time to get a jog or walk in each week, as well as several sets of lunges though I don't keep such careful track of those, also some Heel toe raises (not sure if that's what they're called) the wall sit, and sometimes other activities like rock climbing or ice skating.
schedule usually goes something like this.
Everyday warm up with dumbbells and then shadow boxing, followed by burpees and heel toe raises, then wall sit, then sit ups. tuesdays or mondays, lunges, thurdays or fridays other activity or jogging/walking.
