A Formal Apology
Re: A Formal Apology
No, just break it's little neck and laugh as the mother freaks over her dead baby.

But on a side note ... animals don't recognize "death" really well ... They're just not that smart ... The mother would be freaking out just because you were near it. but it wouldn't really recognize that you killed it ...

That's not entirely true lol a good number of animals are aware of the concept of death for example... the opossum as you can see.. it is playing dead knowing that some animals will refrain from attacking/eating something that is already dead.

But they don't recognize its dead ... they just lose interest because it stopped moving ...Richie Rabbit wrote:Assaultman67 wrote:That's not entirely true lol a good number of animals are aware of the concept of death for example... the opossum as you can see.. it is playing dead knowing that some animals will refrain from attacking/eating something that is already dead.
also you are showing a possum that's pretending to be dead, so even if it true that animals can recognize when something is dead ... that's probably not a good example
Also on a note for "playing dead" its not really a tactic they learn ... its just instinctive for them to lose motor control when being (or about to be) attacked (thus looking dead)

He certainly has a connection to the online animal image database. This should form some sort of title for him. That one's a bit too long though.
