I'm a bit surprised that I haven't seen it mentioned in anyone's list, but here's another one you folks might like: http://www.irregularwebcomic.net/

The author, David Morgan-Mar, also created the one webcomic that redeem the character of Jar-Jar: http://www.darthsanddroids.net/, the comic where Lucas never created Star Wars, and the movies are in fact the result of a game of psuedo-but-not-quite-like D&D.

The formula is pretty much the same of DM of the Rings, by Shamus Youg, where Tolkien never wrote the Lord of the Rings, and is actually a campaing a DM made: http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=612

The two, while similar in concept, are quite different in exectution, also because Morgan-Mar and his friends didn't want to copy Young's style.

And since this thread is about webcomics, another one I read regularly is B-Movie Comic, where the characters stars in a series of B-Movies. The comic is well-drawn, well written and the author commentaries are filled with b-movie trivia: http://www.bmoviecomic.com/

This is a great webcomic with an actual story, well-developed characters, some very funny laugh-out-loud moments and some moments that would bring tears to even the manliest of eyes. You kindof have to read it from the beginning to get the whole story, but it's really well done. The art style starts out... meh, but it improves a lot as you go along.

I also read XKCD, Looking for Group, Penny Arcade, and VGcats.

Another good one is Least I Could Do.

It's by the same guys who made LFG, and it's also got fairly fleshed out characters. Although I'm pretty sure a Character like Rayne could never exist. (I'm just jealous)

Just read through the entire Better Days archive and started on Original Life. They're both comics written and drawn by Jay Naylor. I don't know if I can say that they're good in an objective sense, but they're kind of interesting when viewed from the right perspective. Better Days is your typical growing up comic with furries, but on crack; it moves really fast- the characters seem to age rapidly between chapters, so it's not a detailed 'day-to-day' kind of thing, it's more of a 'significant events in my life' kind of thing. As one might expect, it turns from your standard innocent comic with kitties to something slightly more dramatic (in the "I am an angsty teen blargh" sense) to something more significantly dramatic (in the "I have nightmares from war and my cousin's a crack whore" sense) before concluding with a kind of peaceful, happy ending. It really reads through like a story, with a clear beginning, middle, and end, and many of the characters that start off as kids in Better Days are used as an older supporting cast in Original Life; the latter is more lighthearted and random, and is still being updated every now and then. No real regular update schedule, typically takes about a week or so for a new page, from what I've seen looking at the gaps between old post dates, so yeah.

Also, as a warning, Better Days contains some sexual content (multiple scenes of implied sex, including a rape scene and some incest) and some violence (including a rather graphic depiction of Desert Storm), so some parts are pretty NSFW. Original Life is pretty innocent.

I have a programming assignment due in 12 hours and i havent started yet ...

Our professor told us about a week ago that if we haven't started on it we are probably already screwed ...

I guess in retrospect im more of an ass for procrastinating

I was up till 3:30am working on it before I was like "Fuck this ... im just going to take the F and get some sleep"

Basically i spent 2 weeks in denial that i had to do the assignment
anger for about 4 hours while working on it
depression for about 20 seconds after I gave up (I might be failing this assignment, but fuck man, I now have a awesomely comfortable bed to go to)
and acceptance around 3:30 am yesterday

Then got up at 7am this morning and spent the 2 hours I planned on using to bullshit what I had left to do with my homework reading more "Questionable Content" ...

I've got this peculiar knack for finding a REALLY good distraction at bad times ...

I mean, I can go 4 weeks with nothing to do and not be able to find something to entertain me during that time. Then out of nowhere comes a completely untapped source of entertainment and amusement around two days before a test or report is due.

Needless to say what happens after that considering I have about as much responsible behavior as a kindergartner in a empty house speedballin' pixie sticks and redbull.

I talked to my professor and told him honestly i didnt get it done ... he then asked the rest of the class if they would like extra time to get the assignment done.

The other 9 students in the class were pretty much in the same position I was.

We now have till the end of the week ... thank god procrastination is such a common trait in today's youth

I however sometimes fear the implications of our irresponsibility on the advancement of tomorrow's technology though ...

Wow what a time vacuum that is! 1,858 comics @ 4 panels each. It's like a frikkin' soap opera, but a good, funny one. Good thing I don't have anything else to do in my life right now.
