Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Post by Kombine » Fri Feb 11, 2011 8:59 pm

Dunno if this forum have much hardcore fighting game fans, but MvC 3 is a fighter I'm really hyped up for. Being as this is the final weekend before it's released on Feb. 15, I thought I might make a thread about this to see who else would get this game.

It definitely looks awesome and many of the characters look fun to play as (plus it has Ammy from Okami). Until then, I guess I'll just pop open a can of pringles, stroke my curleh mustache, and play some MvC 2 'till this gets released.

They took out Bulleta, which annoys me, but I'm picking up the game on Tuesday.

Because of a problem at the Capcom store, I finally got my copy of the special edition late when they claimed that you would receive the game on release date with the free shipping option.

Nevertheless, I have been enjoying this game and has been worth the wait for me. Yes, I was a little disappointed with the roster, but I soon accepted this as this is Marvel vs. Capcom 3, not MvC 2.5. The new characters are a blast to play as, though I feel Capcom favored Dante since they gave him about 30+ moves, while the average character has 5-10. A couple of extra modes would've been nice too, as well as a spectator and a save replay option. Hopefully, Capcom will release these in a patch in the future, but for now, I'm just happy with the game I have now.

I've been learning the ins and outs using Spencer, Chun-Li, and Chris as a combination. Fun characters, a bit slow though.

I've never played a fighting game, but seeing as it's literally the only genre of game I have yet to enjoy, I intend to get MvC3 (is that the appropriate abbreviation?) It looks cool, and I remember reading marvel comics as a kid, so it makes sense to me...

The game is pretty noob-friendly in my opinion, so it should be easy to get into if you don't play fighters. I'm sure comic-book fans would enjoy this too. All I want now is Gene from God Hand for DLC and I'll be happy forever.

As for my main team now, I use Dr. Doom/Dormammu/Taskmaster (Partly cause they have the most awesome themes in the game).
