Phoenix Engine 6-18-05 More shaders

Post by David » Sat Jun 18, 2005 2:15 pm

I have been messing around with shaders some more, and put together a nifty chromatic dispersion shader and an odd garnet shader. I will probably start on some basic features that I have not added yet like model loading.

Can you please start working on your new game? These shaders look almost too good.

Question, did you create that teapot or was it in the polygon/mesh create section of Cinema 4D? I like the shaders on the teapot and sphere's.

He's only been working seriously on this engine for a week or two, developing a great game often takes over a year.
I think its the GLUT teapot actually.. david mentioned it being GLUT that made the teapot famous.

You are starting to seem like Nemo in his rampage phase. In other words, stop spamming random meaningless junk on the forums or I will ban you.

from first hand experience in making a game, i can say that's a lie. making game models is easier than making art models in my opinion. so thats my definition of easy :P

Those are some sweet light manipulations. So what is this gonna be planning for? Will their be some cool window effects or will this tie into some water reflections? Are we gonna be running into some nice crystal buildings or this fine tunning for some nice blood effects? It seems as if this is foreshadowing some great jewel designs but I'm not sure. Outstanding screenshots, I can only wonder what they'll be used for.
